It's a new day!

yesterday i saw the most beautiful rainbow.

and today i want to share with anyone following my blog that i have decided to continue doing what i love most (besides eating); immortalising memories in photo form. There doesn't need to be any specific occasion to be able to have beautiful photos taken. I truly believe we should cherish every day and make even the simple things special. Because afterall, it is the every day things that make up our whole life. Whether it be a chocolate covered face of a child, a daughter picking flowers in her backyard for mum, or just chilling at the beach with your friends or family. i am passionate about cherishing these moments and if you are as well, i would love to capture your day filled with fun and laughter that you can look back on in years to come, and smile.

Please visit my website http://www.simeengphotography.com/ for any further information on how to contact me and to view some of my works. i must give big big thank you to philana @ design by philana http://www.designbyphilana.com/ for bringing to life exactly what i had in mind for my website, logo etc. if anyone has any graphic design needs, i totally recommend you contact her~

i will try to keep this blog as updated as possible, not only because i love to ramble on about random things, but to keep you posted on any of my recent works.

i look forward to capturing your smiles one day :)

{beautiful life}

a few weeks ago i had the pleasure of taking a few photos for my family friend and his beautiful family. it was quite a drama in getting ready and choosing an appropriate outfit *hehe* but i think it was well worth it in the end as they all look perfect, not to mention stylish!

i've been so busy and not had a chance to show them their photos, hopefully they will forgive me when they see how well they turned out.

glorious.

this sunset is too good not to share......sunsets always seem to be the best on gloomy overcast days.... because the sunrays stream through the clouds, and there's even a rainbow! :D

Random wondering... again

i really love to wonder around. i'm one of those people who absolutely can not stand sitting at home. it drives me crazy. i love to enjoy the beauty of the littlest of things - small things amuse small minds??? >_<

anyway... on a gloomy saturday, my brother and i wondered around east perth, south perth and heathecote to get some pretty shots... :)

So in an effort to promote perth some more (jks!), i hope you like! :D

The big TWO FOUR!

As we reach the precious age of 24, almost a quarter of a century old but not quite, we sit back and reflect on the importance of life. And the answer of that would be friends, family and food. For me anyway :) After a decade of friendship we gathered at my house to celebrate our friends 24th year on this earth! hehe. The theme was black and white (no, it's not that we don't like colour!!) and there was a delicious spread of food made by all of us!

Opening presents and not understand what the "i love PA" was all about. It's i love Peter Alexander! :p I caught her trademark pout though!

our present theme (seems like we're awfully into themes huh... we're really not!) was "sleep" hehe.

But you gotta sneak some makeup into the birthday pack.... we spotted this cute leapord cased eyeshadow/lipgloss from napolean....she like it too as you can see :p

The presents:

The buffet:

Champers time!
hiding from the cork....... hehe

trust me... there was more food on another table... this table just looked prettier :)

Me and my dimply friend (.^_^.) ehhehe

Twas a fun day... but playing host is TIRING and STRESSFUL......sigh.

{freo in pictures}

I've heard so many stories about how boring a place perth is. and i must admit i have been guilty of spreading such complaints myself. but as i grow older i appreciate all the good things that perth does have to offer, like the ample opportunities and locations there are to just kick back and relax and the easy going nature of the people who reside here. i'm sure all the city folk - after they're done with their high fashion designer shopping and fast paced jobs - wish they had the time to enjoy such tranquility as the students playing soccer did that day in freo under a setting sun with the skies changing beautiful hues of colour with the air crisp and fresh all around them.... or like the family who brought their young children out to laugh and play.

really, what are we complaining about here in perth? here's a few shots to further emphasize my point about how lucky we really are here in perth :)

{lifestyle photography in freo}

i had a bit of a wonder around freo with my friend a few days a go ... or maybe a week ago - i'm a lazy blogger. It was a freezing cold evening and we were both there for different purposes. He was there to try to get shots to create a HDR image... and i was there ... well... to wonder. I just wanted to capture the life in freo (hence the title of this post).

the first people we came across was a group of international students from america playing soccer.... and later resting while watching a beautiful sunset. They were keen to having their photo taken, so i took advantage of their willingness to model for me :) I didn't manage to get their name, but they did give me an email address to send the photos to... so hello to these lovely students if they happen to be reading this !! :D

after photographing this awesome bunch, i ran into some giggle children and met a sweet little girl.... she was also very willing to model and would smile sweetly at me for ages letting me photograph her :) isn't she cute? i love the sunlight shining through her curls.

it was wonderful to share the beautiful sunset with beautiful people. the rest of the evening was spent capturing the scenery around freo... i'm dead tired from waking up at 630am this morning so i'll be sure to upload them in tomorrows post!! :D :D

nights!!
